Soccer Coaching Resources for Youth Coaches

Practical, Flexible Planning Tools Designed for Real Coaching Environments

Soccer Coaching Resources for Youth Coaches

Total Football Experience coaching resources are designed to support youth soccer coaches who want structure without being locked into rigid programs.

These resources are not fixed lesson plans or prescriptive curriculums. Instead, they provide editable planning frameworks that allow you to adapt sessions based on your players’ age, ability, group size, and environment. Whether you coach recreational teams, competitive youth squads, or development programs, these tools are built to help you plan with confidence while retaining full flexibility.

Practical, Flexible Planning Tools Designed for Real Coaching Environments

Every coaching environment is different. Group numbers change, ability levels vary, weather impacts sessions, and player needs evolve week to week.

These resources are designed to:

  • Save time on weekly planning

  • Provide structure without removing coach autonomy

  • Adapt easily to different age groups and standards

  • Support progression across a season

They are intended as guides and frameworks, not scripts. You remain in control of how each session is delivered.

6-Week Soccer Coaching Session Planner (Weeks 1–6)

This resource covers Weeks 1–6 of a wider 36-week coaching framework and is designed to be used as a standalone planning guide. It provides a clear structure for early-season planning while remaining fully adaptable to your players and coaching philosophy.

What’s included

  • An adaptable 6-week session planning framework

  • Guidance to help organize sessions and progression

  • Flexible structure suitable for different age groups and ability levels

  • A format that can be adjusted week to week

This resource is ideal for coaches looking to establish strong foundations without committing to a full season plan upfront.

Continue the Season

Most coaches begin with Weeks 1–6 or choose the full 36-week framework. Individual continuation blocks are available for coaches who prefer to plan in stages.

This 6-week planner forms the first block of a wider 36-week coaching framework, which is divided into six separate 6-week planning blocks. Coaches who wish to continue beyond the opening six weeks can progress through the remaining five blocks, each following the same flexible structure. This allows you to maintain consistency across the season while adapting sessions as your players develop, numbers change, or priorities shift. Each block is designed to work independently or as part of the full season, giving you the freedom to continue planning at your own pace.

Full 36-Week Coaching Framework

For coaches who prefer a long-term planning overview, the full 36-week coaching framework brings all six blocks together into one complete season structure. Each block is designed to work independently or as part of the full framework, giving you the freedom to enter at any point in the season.
