How to Book a Youth Soccer Tour to England
An Easy Guide to Booking a Soccer Tour
The first step to planning an unforgettable experience
Step 1: Choose your destination
Browse our website and decide which country you’d like to visit. England remains our most popular destination, offering an outstanding soccer culture, world-class facilities, iconic stadiums, and excellent value compared to other European options such as Spain or Portugal.
Step 2: Share a rough timeframe
At the early planning stage, we don’t need exact travel dates. A general month and year is more than enough to begin. If your dates are already fixed or you’ve started looking at flights, that’s absolutely fine. If not, we can remain flexible while shaping the tour around your team. The final length of your soccer tour will naturally be guided by your flight dates.
Step 3: Tell us what you’re looking for
To provide an accurate quote, we begin by building a fully bespoke itinerary. Simply copy and paste the questions below into an email, add your answers, and send them to: 📧 ritchie@totalfootballexperience.com
Your tour preferences:
-
How many nights would you like to stay?
-
Which airport will you be flying from?
-
Which airport would you like to fly into?
(Manchester / London Heathrow / London Gatwick – if London is not part of your plans, Manchester is usually recommended.) -
How many competitive matches would you like to play?
-
How many training sessions would you like?
-
Would you like a stadium tour of Old Trafford, Anfield, or the Etihad?
-
Would you like to watch a top-level match? (subject to availability)
-
Are you interested in a Matchday Experience?
-
Would you like free time in London for sightseeing?
-
Do you have any other requests or preferences?
All Total Football Experience soccer tours are fully custom. These steps are simply a starting point — you decide the content, dates, and experiences.
More Detailed Information
Custom Soccer Tours to England – Built Around Your Team
What to expect before our first call
The information above provides a brief overview of how we organize international soccer tours. If you’d like a more detailed understanding of how a tour could be built specifically for your team, the information below outlines what to expect.
Playing Matches | Age Group & Level
Our priority is to arrange competitive, age-appropriate matches that challenge and develop your players.
We’ll discuss:
-
Your team’s age group
-
Playing level
-
Development goals
Matches are arranged months in advance with clubs and academies across England. While changes are rare, football environments can be unpredictable, and on very rare occasions fixtures may change at short notice. Transparency is important, and we ensure coaches are fully informed throughout the process.
Watching Live Soccer Matches
Watching a professional match is often a highlight of a youth soccer tour. Group tickets for Premier League matches can be difficult to source due to season ticket holders and membership allocations. Where fixtures and locations align, we work with clubs who will try to accommodate group requests.
An alternative option is hospitality tickets, which include food, refreshments, and guaranteed match access, although at a higher cost. Please note: if your tour takes place outside the football season, live matches will not be available.
Training Sessions
All training sessions are delivered by UEFA-licensed coaches with experience at:
-
International level
-
Professional academies
-
Premier League club environments
-
Grassroots and youth development
Session topics can be tailored to your team, and we’re happy to work alongside your own coaches to support specific development objectives.
Stadium Tours
Based in the North West of England, we are ideally located to arrange stadium tours including:
-
Anfield (Liverpool FC) – Stadium & Museum Tour, plus club shop
-
Old Trafford (Manchester United) – Stadium & Museum Tour, interactive Skills Lab experience, and club shop
-
Etihad Stadium (Manchester City) – Stadium Tour and educational presentation, “A Day in the Life of a Footballer”
For stadium visits in London, we usually recommend arranging these independently during free time, as public transport is often quicker than traveling by coach.
Hotels & Accommodation
Hotels are selected carefully with location as a key priority.
Examples include:
-
Manchester hotels near the Trafford Centre
-
Chester hotels within walking distance of the historic city
-
Central London hotels close to major landmarks and transport links
UK hotel rooms are typically smaller than those in North America, something we ensure groups are aware of from the outset.
Hotel Rooming
You’ll receive an Excel room list template to complete.
Common room types include:
-
Twin (two single beds)
-
Double (one double bed)
-
Triple or family rooms (subject to availability)
Room configurations are confirmed once availability is agreed. Requests for rooms close together can be made, although hotels cannot guarantee this.
Free Places
On every Total Football Experience soccer tour:
-
The organizing coach stays free (accommodation only)
-
Additional free places may be available depending on group size
Extra free places can be incorporated into the tour cost if required.
Payments
Once the tour is costed, the total is divided equally so everyone pays the same price.
Typical structure:
-
$200 non-refundable deposit per person
-
Deposits collected and sent as one payment
-
Final balance due approximately six weeks before travel
A detailed proforma invoice clearly outlines what is included, what is not included, and all payment deadlines.
Coach Transfers & On-Tour Support
Your group will travel by private executive coach for all scheduled transfers. A Total Football Experience representative will be with you from airport arrival to departure at the end of the tour, providing on-the-ground support throughout your stay.
Next Step: Arrange a Zoom Call
Before speaking to players and parents
Once you’ve reviewed the information above, the next step is to arrange a short Zoom call. Many coaches choose to do this before approaching players and parents, as it provides reassurance that:
-
They’ve met the person organizing the tour
-
The company is established and legitimate
-
Questions have been answered directly
The call is informal and designed to:
-
Discuss your team and ideas
-
Clarify timelines and options
-
Explain how a bespoke soccer tour would be built around your group
There is no obligation at this stage. The goal is simply to connect and ensure everything feels right before you take the next step.
