Booking your own flights isn't a disadvantage, it could be one of the biggest opportunities to reduce the overall cost of your TFE Soccer Tour.

Unlike tour companies that package flights into the price, TFE gives your team the freedom to choose when you travel, where you fly from, which airline you use and which route you take.

With so many direct and one-stop options between North America and the UK, researching different routes could potentially save hundreds of dollars per traveller.

USE AI TO HELP FIND THE BEST FLIGHTS

Finding those options has become much easier.

​

AI tools such as ChatGPT can help you research multiple airlines, direct and one-stop routes, alternative departure airports and different UK arrival airports in minutes.

​

Try asking:

“Find the best flight options for a group of 30 people travelling from Toronto to Manchester, England from March 13–21, 2027. Compare direct and one-stop routes, approximate prices, journey times, baggage allowances and airlines offering group bookings.”

​

You can replace Toronto, the dates and group size with your own information.

​

AI may identify routes you hadn't considered, including connections through hubs such as Dublin, Iceland or other European cities.

​

DON'T JUST SEARCH FOR INDIVIDUAL TICKETS

If you're travelling as a team, contact the airline's Group Travel Department before purchasing individual tickets.

​

Many airlines consider 10 or more passengers a group and may offer benefits such as:

• A group fare held while you organise your travellers

• Deposits rather than immediate full payment

• Final payment closer to departure

• Passenger names supplied later

• Group baggage arrangements

• Greater flexibility than individual tickets

 

Group conditions vary considerably between airlines, so compare the overall package, not simply the headline airfare.

DIRECT ISN'T ALWAYS BEST

A nonstop flight may be the easiest option, but it isn't necessarily the best value.

​

A convenient one-stop flight could potentially save a significant amount.

​

For example, instead of only searching:

Toronto → Manchester

also investigate:

Toronto → Iceland → Manchester
Toronto → Dublin → Manchester
Toronto → another European hub → Manchester

The same applies to US teams. Your nearest airport may not necessarily provide the best option, so AI can also help identify nearby departure airports worth considering.

WHY WE RECOMMEND MANCHESTER

For the majority of TFE tours, Manchester Airport is the most convenient arrival point.

​

Much of the soccer experience we offer is based in the North West of England, giving your group convenient access to professional clubs, stadiums, training facilities, competitive matches and many of the experiences that can form part of your itinerary.

​

It can also eliminate the need for the lengthy transfer from London at the beginning and end of your tour.

​

Please note: Starting tour prices shown on our website are based on flights arriving at and departing from Manchester Airport. Arrivals and departures via London Heathrow or London Gatwick will incur an additional transfer premium.
